This review is from: Avenir Fixed Gear Cog 14 Tooth (1/2 X (1/8) (Sports) I installed this cog about a month ago and have put in upwards of 200 miles on it. It does what it was built to do; and for such an affordable price, that is all I expected of it. It isn't very light, but it is durable. For a commuter like me, durability is a very good thing. I upgraded from the stock 16-tooth to this one and am rather pleased. I now have a higher top speed and cruising speed. Take note, however, that your acceleration and ability to climb hills will suffer initially. I use a 52-tooth crank and this upgrade was awkward at first. It takes a little time but if you ride regularly, you will get stronger. I can now take the same hills I found difficult with my 16-tooth. Good price, good buy, strong build. I recommend it.
