I have a 46 tooth crank, so this cog gives me a good top speed, but starting from a stop and climbing hills can be rough. Works well as a reasonable gear for a fixie. I'm a reasonably strong rider and started with a 15 tooth cog and my 46 tooth chainring. That one was just a bit too much for suburban commuting in traffic. love it, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Avenir Fixed Gear Cog 16 Tooth (1/2 X (1/8) (Sports) i just love it so much its a great partlight weight fit my rim perfectly you should buy this if your tryinh to make a fixie plus its a good deal not to pricy |
