It was easy to assemble and I get a TON of compliments on it. The bike is rather flashy and attracts attention, which can be bad (if you're in a high-theft area).Unfortunately the color faded within a couple months, to the point that the neon yellow is almost white in some parts. The bolts are already rusty as well. I might have just gotten a bike with a bad paint coat, but I think that having the color fade that quickly is ridiculous and is why I rated it at only 3 stars. Had the paint held up longer, it would deserve all 5. I ordered two. Once I received them, one came very well packaged and the other one came with the packaging destroyed, terrible. Luckily it did not affect the bike. I read from other reviews that they were easy to put together, I attempted and it was quite difficult. Other than this complaint, I love how they look, how they feel and how they ride. I was able to find a video on youtube on how to build these bikes and so hopefully they can help whoever reads this review. I gave up and just ended paying $50 dollars each to have them assembled at my local bike tech. I hope this review helps. I am 6'2 riding the 60cm x-large. The quality is amazing. I owned a cheap fixie before this and it's a night and day difference in quality. The tires have lasted really well, the paint quality is far better, and the hubs ride like a much more expensive bike. The flip flop hub is really cool. I used to ride freewheel, but now I love riding fixed! Retrospec all the way. |
