I've used this for both removing a cassette and also removing pedals and it does both as well as you could expect. The chain does get slightly cumbersome when removing or installing pedals but it's price and convenience is worth the small negative. Definitely a good product.

I bought this to use as a cone wrench for my road bike, and it worked for that, and I have used it to remove my cassette off my MTB. Still in perfect shape. My only complaint would be that it is a little short so it is a bit hard to get a good amount of torque out of it for removing pedals, but fortunately for my I'm a big strong guy so that doesn't bother me, but for you smaller people, you might wanna get a longer one if you are buying it for the pedal wrench.
