2.0 out of 5 stars Horrible Crankset; Avoid at all costs, February 23, 2012
It worked fine for maybe a month and a half before I started having problems. Within the first week of riding the paint had rubbed off showing a metal oval where my feet would rub up against it. The crank arm is fine, I still use it, but the main problem is the chain ring. I was riding up hill with a fixed cog, and suddenly my pedals gave out from under me and the chain came unloose. Mind you this was in the middle of traffic. Luckily it was uphill so I came to a slow stop. After pulling it to the side walk I looked at my bike to see if I could put my chain back on. One quick glance and I saw the chain ring had literally ripped in half. Yes, the "forged alloy" chain ring tore in half, And I plan on putting a picture of the gnarled chain ring. The part where you screw in the pedals is slightly smaller than anything that it was meant to fit, so it ended up getting cross threaded and on numerous occasions the entire pedal fell off my bike. The bolts given with it to secure the chain ring... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Crank, May 8, 2012
I bought to convert an old road bike to a single speed. My husband did the conversion for me. The crank looks great and unlike the other reviewer I've had no issues - the chainring is sturdy. For the price you really can't go wrong.
